  6. Module 2 Machining Summery Three vanes are modulated. That means completely machined until after brazing. Fourth vane to be modulated within the next three working days. One vertical is fully inspected. The center of the vane was offset 44-38 microns. The machinist knows why this happened and correct for it on the other vanes. We are not worried about this area being offset this small amount. No remedial action is planned. We have the option of adjusting the fiducial surfaces to partially compensate for the shift, but we won’t decide on this until all four vanes are complete and measured. Modulations (vane tips) In tolerance and centered +/- 50 micron Out of tolerance from 44 – 38 microns. (50 micron tolerance plus 44-38 microns) (99 – 88 micron off of perfect) Shifted one direction. In tolerance +/- 50 micron In tolerance +/- 50 micron 50 microns = 0.00197 inch

  7. New O-ring groove design that goes between modules, suggested by Alex Chen Half dovetail shape with the dovetail on the outside (atmosphere side) This is the drawing of the test plate to test the groove shape

  8. Works Great It will be incorporated into the vane drawings shortly. Dime for scale Standard -386 Viton O-ring Jan 15, 2014
