  2. Profile Cutter and Modulation Test Two correct profile cutters fabricated and qualified. Short vane modulation test complete The cutters are a 4 flute design. They look weird, but cut very well.

  4. All copper vane parts fabricated Braze clamp test Pi-mode rod ferrules to be tested during this braze Clamps fabricated, but need some more holes to avoid the Pi-mode rods LBNL style Two different style ferrules to be tested IMP style

  5. Braze clamp test Pi- mode rods with ferrules Braze clamp test Braze wire should arrive May 17th. The four test part walls fabricated, cleaned and ready for assembly

  6. Full Size Test Vane Rough cutting complete Gun drilling complete Cross drilling complete Gun drill plugs fabricated Next is Electron Beam Welding of the plugs Plugs

  7. Full size test piece Three vane deliveries May 7, 2013 All three vanes exceeded their minimum dimensions (good)

  8. Some clamping marks on two of the vanes. Less then a mm deep. Not a problem. No other marks. They are deburred. Very nice.
