  3. Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) • The global goals – as determined by world political leaders at the 2000 “Millennium Summit” –to promote wellness by the year 2015. • The goals focus on global problems, including • Income • Poverty • Hunger • Disease • Adequate shelter • Exclusion
