The spread of good ideas – common solutions for learning • Excellent work by Minnesota and Iowa prior to MSU’s REAL • Collegiality, including hosting site visits and open sharing • Application processes, Faculty Development Program (required) • Designs, Suppliers, Gotchas, and Innovations • Central REAL spaces a prototype for campus • $ 1M reserved for collegiate applications for space reform • 4 projects this summer – 4 projects next • Variety and offshoots already evident

Cooperative Effort • Swapping space to achieve mutual objectives via Facilities Mgt • Shifting from large open access computer labs • Gradually towards BYOD • With embedded PCs in engagement centers for software access • Helped open opportunity for cross-functional team on Analytics • Transition of MAP-Works contract support to IT Services • Improvements for Student Affairs; Attempts at use for academic affairs; • Possible future convergence with space (Course redesign; Attendance;)
