  1. Four pillars of a strong churchPillar 1:“Passionate Prayer to God” Part 2

  2. C.H. Spurgeon We had prayer meetings that moved our very souls, each one appeared determined to storm the Celestial City by the might of intercession.

  3. 1 John 5:14-15 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

  4. Where We Are Going • Back To Acts • Paul on Prayer

  5. Acts 2:42 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

  6. Points to ponder Christianity is not an add-on to life. It should be the center of our lives. Prayer is individual and corporate.

  7. Acts 4:24-31 24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, 25 who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,

  8. “‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?26 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed’—

  9. 27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod andPontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,

  10. 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

  11. Points to ponder • Acknowledge Who God is • Increase our knowledge of Scripture • Pray for Boldness

  12. Acts Prayer Christianity is the center of our life Devotion to Corporate Prayer Acknowledge Who God is Saturate our prayers with Scripture Pray for more boldness

  13. Ephesians 1:15-23 15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

  14. 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

  15. Points to Ponder Thankful for other believers. More wisdom and revelation to know God better.

  16. Ephesians 1:18-19 Know the Hope that God called us to To know the riches of our inheritance To know His power

  17. God’s mighty power will lift you out of your sins and elevate you to where Christ now is.
