  2. Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 177

  3. In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most merciful.

  4. It is not “Righteousness just turning your faces” towards the “east” or “west” (in prayer),

  5. Infect, The Righteous is:

  6. The “One” who believes in Allah Almighty, the Last Day, the Angels, the Books and the Prophets,

  7. And gives his wealth ( due to love for Him ), to the near kinfolk, orphans & the poor,

  8. And to the wayfarer, & to those who ask, & Sets slaves free.

  9. And offers “Prayers” & give compulsory Alms

  10. And who fulfill their covenant when they Make It.

  11. And who persevere in extreme poverty, Ailment & at the time of fighting.

  12. Such are people of the truth, & they are the “Righteous” ones.

  13. SUMMARY Establishment of the Righteousness in the society, is the main goal of all Revealed Religions. What is Righteousness ? Verse 177 Outlines it beautifully.
