  1. TRANSITION TO NEW PPO As of January 1, 2010 Valley View is transitioning to a new PPO Network in order to increase savings to both individual employees and the District.

  2. CIGNA Healthcare will replace the present PPO, MultiPlan (PHCS), effective January 1, 2010.

CIGNA Healthcare Effective January 1, 2010 • CIGNA was selected because it provides better utilization of its hospitals and has a majority of the physicians that District 365u employees are actually using, based of the most current utilization data. • Significant increase in the discounts on physicians (54% versus 46.5%)

  4. CIGNA Healthcare THERE IS NO CHANGE IN BENEFITS TO EMPLOYEES, ONLY A GREATER OPPORTUNITY FOR ADDITIONAL SAVINGS.

  5. PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS Effective January 1, 2010

  6. SPECIALISTS Effective January 1, 2010

  7. HOSPITAL(S) Effective January 1, 2010

  8. SEARCH FOR YOUR PROVIDER Effective January 1, 2010 To determine if your current provider participates in CIGNA’s PPO go to www.mycignaforhealth.com and perform a provider search. On the CIGNA homepage click “FIND A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL” on the lower right hand side. Click “FIND A PROVIDER” and then search the PPO network by name or specialty.

  9. Currently Under Treatment? What if you are currently being treated by a doctor that is not in the CIGNA PPO? Any or all treatment that is in process as of January 1, 2010 will be considered in-network for 60 days.

  10. NEW BAS ID CARD EVERYONE ENROLLED IN THE INSURANCE WILL RECEIVE A NEW BENEFIT ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES RED ID CARD BY JANUARY 1, 2010.

  11. UPDATE PROVIDER To Do: Be sure to give your Health Provider your new ID card after January 1, 2010 Why???? Provide new information such as: • PPO change update • Precertification information has changed BAS/CIGNA Will Replace HINES AND ASSOCIATES for Utilization Review/Pre-Certification

  12. OPEN ENROLLMENT DUE TO THE CHANGE TO CIGNA PPO AS OF JANUARY 1, 2010 VALLEY VIEW WILL EXTEND THEIR OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD UNTIL DECEMBER 11, 2009. THIS EXTENSION IS ONLY FOR ENROLLMENT INTO THE GROUP HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE THIS DOES NOT AFFECT FLEXIBLE SPENDING SECTION 125. FLEXIBLE SPENDINGENROLLMENT PERIOD ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2009.
