Topic: THE POWER IN THE BLOOD!
Blood is an important fluid in the body( Leviticus 17:11). No living creature can survive without this fluid that transport required nutrients for growth. Science claims there are two types of blood in the body which is oxygenated and De-oxygenated blood.
Just like oxygen which is a mystery to know its origin, the same is the breath of God that he breathed to Man unto which there is no life without it (Gen 2:7).
The original breath of God that brought life into mankind was tampered with in the Eden disobedience. The blood of Man became full of sin, breaking relationship between him and God and hence no eternal life.
Man is genetically a sinner and that why Paul says “he does things that he doesn't want to do”.
In the OT, men used the blood of animals to cleanse their blood through sacrifice. However the blood of animals was limited to do do the complete cleansing until when the superior blood was supplied.
BLOOD OF JESUS. The blood of Jesus was different from that of animals and ordinary Man. He was God who was incarnated into human being to bring redemption.
He was born from woman and the Holy spirit unlike ordinary Man who has Male and female chromosomes in blood.
The blood of Jesus could not clot like any other blood because was poured for a specific mission ( John 19:34). It is still fresh even today.
The blood of Jesus always speaks better things for us not like that of Abel that claims revenge even today ( Gen 4:10). it has forgiveness, healing from sickness, redemption and heavenly riches.
The blood is the signature into the new covenant. This is the covenant where laws are written in the heart of men an not in the tablets. The always renew it when cerebrating the Holy communion (1 Corinthians 11:25).
The blood of Jesus has power to cleanse our sin once and for eternity. Therefore through faith in Jesus Christ, all our sins are forgiven and we are made true sons of God.
