The Past Since School began: • Reviewed Third Grade end of the year assessment • 4th Grade End of the Year Assessment Given • Fluency check with addition to 20 • Ongoing Multiplication Table Check • Place Value Billions to Hundredths • Addition and Subtraction of whole numbers and money • Division • Multiplication of one number x three numbers

  4. Present • Division • Problem Solving using a variety of Math Operations • Spiral Review (Daily) • Multiplication and Division fact check

  5. Future • Algebraic Expressions • Geometry • Measurement • Fractions • Data Analysis and Probability • Problem Solving and Spiraling of Math Concepts continues

  6. Parents’ Role • Realize that how and what we learned is not necessarily how and what our children need… • Expect and Support change that helps our children make sense of mathematics…. • Encourage your children to develop persistence and good study habits, to realize the importance of mathematics through example, and to try their best.
