  8. What is a mutation • Mutation- when a change in DNA occurs causing the subject to be negatively or positively changed.

  9. Connections • All of these mutations affect Katniss • Mockingjay= hope • Tracker Jacker= life or death • Mutated Wolf= what the games turn people into

  11. Mutations • Mutations occur on a daily basis • Mutations can cause common diseases such as cancer • Mutations can be good and bad • Mutations can be inherited, acquired, and man-made • Acquired mutations can’t be passed down • Man-made mutations are typically used for scientific research
