  2. Issues to discuss at meeting: 1 ~ Venue, time and number of branch meeting 2 ~ Branch plan 3 ~ Congress the resolution etc 4 ~ Independent sector 5 ~ Compendium 6 ~ Students 7 ~ Social outings for activists

  3. 1 ~ Venue, time and number of branch meeting • Currently meet second Tuesday of every month at Cardiff Royal Infirmary at 18.30 hours. • Options: • Stay the same; • Or something different Option A Monthly, at 17.30 hours at CRI second Tuesday of every month. (Rationale: lots going on at the moment with cutbacks etc, free parking at CRI and access to rooms, change of time so able to come straight from work) Options B Monthly, at ...... hours at .......... on.............. (bi-monthly, earlier time, new venue etc) Over to you... Vote!

  6. 3 ~ Congress 2012 Harrogate International Centre, 13-17 May 2012. Submitting a Congress resolution or matter for discussion is your chance to lead the debate and influence the RCN agenda for the year ahead. The deadline for submissions is 28 November 2011. We have at present booked five rooms at hotel near the Centre.

  7. 3 ~ Congress: Resolutions Felt that this year we wanted to have a resolution submitted. Chair after listening to members and current situation regards to pensions and austerity measures felt that we need to address ‘Article 12’ Sent out handouts to help write resolution. Other resolution ideas from Wales include IT access. Question? For submission of this resolution? Any other resolution ideas?

  8. 4 ~ Independent sector Forge better network with the Independent Sector Need an activist who will liaise with this sector Thoughts on this? Volunteer?

  9. 5 ~ Compendium Section 1 - Patch Profile Section 2 - Branch Section 3 - Member Section 4 - Activists Section 5 - UHB Section 6 - RCN Section 7 - The Patch Section 8 - Bibliography Section 7 – Students

Set up an email address that was handed out at the student recruitment event Student rep to attend Branch meetings Ideas on what to do for the students with the monies we have Currently we have £500 Thoughts please and action to be taken. Student stand at Ty Maeth

  11. 7 ~ Social outings for activists • Lets have some fun. • Proposal: • Plan to have Branch night out fro activists; • Can be for coffee, tea, cake, wine, dancing, food etc • Bi-monthly or monthly? • Can put it on the Branch Calendar of important events! • Thoughts?
