  3. Design the Typical Day Work out a typical class session that focuses on thinking through content. Include reading, writing, speaking, hearing, applying ideas into thinking.

  4. Typical Day: One Example • Students bring a paper to class • Students work in pairs/triads giving feedback to one another on their papers. (using intellectual standards) • You briefly introduce a new concept • You give new assignment for next class.

  5. Structure for Daily Paper • State the assignment in your own words. • State the purpose of the assignment • State the key question in the assignment (with an interrogative sentence-with a question mark at the end). • Do the assignment.

  6. Additional Ideas for a Typical Day • Have students write out the logic of an article for multiple class days. • Have students write out the logic of a chapter for each class period. • Critical Reading for multiple class days • Read/write/teach
