Food • Starvation and Disease = caused lot of deaths • United States donated large amounts of food for the Japanese population. • Official food rations were below 1000 cal per person per day. • A lot of food rations that were saved up were lost during the bombing. • A lot of the food that was given was simply to avoid starvation. • Beans given instead of rice cause rice was unavailable.
