Setting • This story takes place mostly at the Burk’s house. First the kittens live in a wooden box in the barn. Then their mother leaves. Later the kittens • live in the house.
Main Characters • Kikki and Toby are the main characters. • Butch the dog is also an important character. • There are other characters like Sara and Ben Burk
What the story is about. • The story is about two kittens. First their mother leaves and does not come back. Then their brother ands sister kittens leave. • The Burk family lets the kittens live in the house. The children play games with the kittens. • Toby likes to tease butch the dog. One day Butch bites Toby’s tail off.
Problem • Toby eats Kikki’s stew. She tries to eat Toby’s stew but he pushes her out of the way. Kikki and Toby are fighting and Sara and Ben’s mom throws them outside. Toby teases Butch the dog but Butch catches Toby and bites him hard. He bites off Toby’s tail. Kikki jumps on Butch and claws him so that he stops biting Toby.
Favorite Events • In the story it said that Toby was teasing the dog. Toby would say funny things to the dog. He would say fatty fatty two by four couldn’t get through the bathroom door so he did on the floor. The dog named Butch got so mad that he almost broke the fence so he could attack Toby the cat.
Favorite Events • Ben and Sara are arguing about a pencil. Ben said the pencil, “Is mine.” • Sara said, “Is not.” • Ben said, “Is too.” • Toby and Kikki thought they said snot stew and they went running to the kitchen to get some stew. They loved stew. There was not any stew in the bowl.
