The name "Wacom" was derived by partially replacing the English name WORLD COMPUTER with "WA," a Japanese word meaning "harmony.“ • The name was provided to express our goal of attaining development in which people and computers are in harmony. • What is a pen tablet?input device (like a keyboard and mouse) used with computersMade of a special electronic pen and tablet (a plate)Electronic pen functions on a tablet in the same way as a mouse • allows freehand drawings, diagrams, characters • Operates by electromagnetic induction • battery-free and cordless
