Bible Study ________, 2011 Citadella
Conclusion and Introduction • Conclusion to Module 1 – Know What You Believe • Introduction to Module 2 – Live What You Believe
Conclusion 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Titus 2:1,2 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. • As we conclude the study of these foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, we should remind ourselves of our responsibility to not only know the truth, but to speak the truth to others in love. • As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is incumbent upon us to be prepared always to speak in season and be ready always to give an answer – from the bible – to everyone who asks of us a reason for our hope of eternal life.
Introduction Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations …….. • Jesus” command is for us to “go, and keep on going,” and “disciple all peoples.” • Disciple means a learner, not only a pupil, but an adherent, an imitator of his teacher. • Discipling means more than instructing in the doctrines of the Christian faith. • It means teaching believers to imitate the lifestyle of Jesus – praying as He prayed, loving as He loved and serving as He served. • It is the process of learning how to manifest Christ-life in our lives, that the Lord might be glorified and the world might be saved. • In other words, learning to live what we believe.
Memory Verse Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
