  3. Learners • This lesson is geared toward First Graders and will be taught to a diverse class

  4. Bloom’s Taxonomy in the Lesson • Students will go through all steps • Remembering the information read in the story • Understanding and interpreting the information • Apply the words and implementing them into their own story • Analyzing their own story and organizing into a graph • Evaluating and checking their work and finally • Creating their own story using adjectives and producing pictures to go along

  5. How to teach this lesson • Students and teacher will read a book that using adjectives such as Splat the Cat by Rob Scotton • Talk about what words were used to describe Splat and his friends in the story • Using Kidspiration create a graphic organizer to map story ideas • Write a first draft of the story • Write a final draft • Use either Kidspiration or Paint to draw animals for all to see • Print animals and story and share with class

  6. Assessing the lesson • I will be able to know the students have learned and completed the task using Bloom’s Taxonomy by • Their participation in group discussion • Reviewing their graphic organizer as it is done and completed • Reviewing their first and final draft as it is done and completed • Reviewing their art that accompanies the story • Reviewing their final product and their presentation to the class
