Academically Productive Talk in Action: Video #1 - Task 1 Count off by 3s at your table. • 1: accountability to the learning community • 2: accountability to accurate knowledge • 3: accountability to rigorous thinking Individually: • Watch the video and look for evidence of the Accountable Talkfeature for which you are responsible. • Make notes on the observation page that will help identify for the group specifically where there is evidence for this type of accountability in the tape.

Refer to the Accountable Talk Moves and Functions handout to help you. • identify what you notice the students saying or doing that demonstrates evidence-based reasoning and/or Accountable Talkpractices.

Then complete a written reflection on the experience with your students and be prepared to share during the next PLC.
