Intro and Conclusion Paragraph White text = connection (connect the ideas) Hook • Example Introduction: Not everyone leaves their home, family, and everything familiar to them behind in order to pursue their passion in life. In fact, most people would be afraid to travel all the way to Africa, to live in a hut in the middle of the jungle, with no companions but apes. Yet, this is exactly what Dian Fossey did. There are two major events that impacted Dian Fossey’s life: meeting Louis Leakey, and the death of her favorite gorilla, Digit. • Example Conclusion: Because of the events that impacted her life, such as meeting Leakey and the death of Digit, Dian Fossey was able to make a difference in the world. The Gorilla Fund now supports the people in the region with food, education, clothing and medical care. At last count, the gorilla population in the area was increasing.
