Summary of Intersessional Activities • Submission to JCOMM-II on the proposed changes to metadata requirements and data exchange formats. • Preparation of metadata version 3 documentation on behalf of WMO for distribution to VOS Operators: • Code Tables – existing, revised and new; • Description of the metadata exchange formats - XML and semi-colon delimited; • Added better description of dimensions with a diagram; and • Added requirements for VOS and VOSClim digital images and drawings. Summary of Intersessional Activities (cont) • Development of XML schema for metadata version 3. • Preparation of a consolidated ship routes proposal. • Preparation of sample XML and semi-colon delimited files in metadata version 3 format: • For KNMI for TurboWin testing; and • For WMO in response to VOS FP enquiries. • Monitoring the receipt of quarterly NMS submissions to WMO No. 47.
