  5. Typical Primary School • Budget of £1,000,000 • Current top slice 8% approx = £80,000 • Plus additional payments for the following services to either BMBC or another provider • HR, payroll, school meals, cleaning, legal, financial services, Education Welfare, music services,health and safety,

Governor services • All of the additional services combine to an overall set of charges that remove approximately an additional £70,000 plus • That does not mean you have any say in who serves you in any role and there is no promise built into the prices charged that cover for the prolonged absences of key staff

Why isn’t the sky really blue • We can still utilise all of the built in statutory duties undertaken by the LA and their SEN/Inclusion teams and central Welfare services too. • If 10 schools combined they could have an educational psychologist of their choice for a half day each week for the whole year for £6,000 approx • A team of welfare officers working alongside PSA officers all school based

  8. Design the best • The landscape can now be purpose built to provide the best in all fields • Applications for funding of building and alterations • Only funding streams now linked to either academies or free schools
