  16. Overcomes the World • Sin • Its guilt; power and consequences • Worry • Anxiety; fear; emotional distress • Discontentment • Dissatisfaction; unhappiness; murmuring • Depression • Despair

  17. Overcomes the World • Illness • Pain; hardship; inability to function • Grief • Deep mental anguish arising from bereavement • Loneliness • We can be lonely even when surrounded by people • Death • Hope of resurrection

Victorious Faith • Faith in who Jesus is • “Has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”{Hebrews 1:2,3}

  24. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”{1 Corinthians 15:57,58} Faith Is the Victory
