6. MISSION STATEMENT Quad V.E.T.S. is a program designed to help homeless, incarcerated, and unemployed veterans become successful, self-sufficient, law-abiding citizens upon completion of the program. .

To utilize our programs that are in place and give each veteran an opportunity to qualify for job openings in today’s challenging employment market. 2. To assist in each veteran’s re-entry into today’s society by providing housing, transportation, job placement, and financial counseling to better insure a successful new beginning and hope for his/her future. 3.

The year was 1636 and the Colony was engaged in a conflict with the Pequot Indians. History shows that first declaration of concern, the American people have continued and strengthened their efforts to compensate for the losses and to minimize the disadvantages suffered by those who have responded to the Nation’s call to serve.

The vast majority are single, most come from poor, disadvantaged communities, 45% suffer from mental illness, and half have substance abuse problems. 57% of homeless veterans served during Vietnam. How many homeless veterans are there? Although accurate numbers are impossible to come by…according to the VA, more than half a million are homeless in course of one year. That is one out of every four homeless men who are sleeping in an alley, box, or door way has put on a uniform and served our country. Why are veterans homeless? There has been extreme shortage of affordable housing, livable income, and access to health care. A large number of displaced and at-risk veterans live in lingering effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance abuse, compounded by lack of a family support network.
