Communications Alert Wider Options & Scholarships with JCU For those who are interested to further their studies in Information Technology with one of the top 3 research universities in Australia, James Cook University (JCU) in Queensland is one option they should seriously consider. INTI College & JCU recently established a collaboration to offer a wider range of programmes with advanced standing credit for diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Multimedia Communications and Network Computing. The articulation arrangements extend to degree programmes offered by JCU at its Townsville and Cairns campuses for Bachelor of Information Technology in General Computing, Industry Professional and Business Computing, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. According to Professor Bill Lavery, Head of the School of Information Technology, JCU, a number of scholarships will be offered to staff and students who are interested to study its IT programmes. “Students studying at JCU will also have a chance to experience a real working environment in the process of getting their degrees with our new set-up called IT Experience,” he added. INTI College Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Dr Koo Wee Kor said that the offering of the INTI-JCU Staff Development Scholarship and INTI-JCU IT Student Scholarship in the value of A$ 5,000 would be able to assist deserving staff and students to fulfill their full time studies and meet the living expenses in Australia.
