About CGIS • CGIS stands for Corporate Geospatial Information System • Implemented by ICT jointly with Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Planning & Corporate Services • Project implementation is based on the TNB’s Top Management approved 10-year CGIS Master Plan (2009-2019) • To improve the organization efficiency and reduce operational costs
Data Volume • Generation: 17 Power Stations (Thermal & Hydro), 18 Mini Hydros • Distribution :~8.3 million customer points/meter ~75,000 substations & associated equipment ~200,000 feeder pillars ~300,000 km of UG cables • Transmission:460 Main Intake Substations (132kv and above) 20,000 km of OH lines 2,000 km of UG cables • Corporate Services: 25,000 land parcels (Gen, PMU, PPU, Offices) ~60,000 PE land parcels ~7,600 buildings • ICT: ~14,000 km of fiber optics cables 480 comm rooms 1000 km of Last Mile Fiber
