Context • The Hiawatha Seaway Council has a monthly Roundtable Meeting (RM) for the leaders in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) program. • District level event • Inform leaders of upcoming events • Provide up-to-date information about policy and procedures • Provide leadership development • Promote networking opportunities for leaders
Definition of the Problem • Currently, the committee members of the RM struggle with monthly attendance and with getting new and/or younger leaders involved. • The “old boys” club • Same faces • No new information
Potential Solutions • Selection and use of a planning committee • Determine format of roundtable meetings (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing Crew) • Set standard agenda • Set program themes – create an annual program plan
