Purpose of Rules and Standards (Why?) * DNV service documents, forms and statutory information To manage the process for maintenance and development of rules and standards* (the core of DNVs business) - including publishing
Tasks • Process and publish service documents (rules, standards, recommended practices instructions etc.) including forms and statutory regulations • Arrange internal and external hearing of proposals • Arrange and run design review meetings for proposals • Ensures sufficient quality control and approval of proposals • Provide consistency including structure, style and layout cross service documents • Maintain and develop work process and tools for our internal processes • Support and advice external and internal clients including authors of proposals • Provide frame work and support for maintenance and development of rules and standards (not fully in place yet)
