Agenda • Introduction • Praser – The laser presentation experience • Goals • Background comparison • Design Specifications • System Block Diagram • Laser System • Software Systems • MDR • Distribution of tasks / Team responsibility • Proposed Prototype concept • Internal deadlines
Goals • Redefine presentations • Ease of transition between slides • Display more information • Minimize computer interactions • Present anywhere on any surface
Lasers • Bright • Project on different surfaces Keystone
Microsoft Kinect • Point cloud depth information • Spatial gesture information • Sound recognition
Kinect demonstration • Its time for!!! DEMO TIMEEE!!! • Be Amazed at this Demo! • Now say, oohhhh ahhh.
Design Specifications –Block Diagram Block Diagram Component Interface
Design Specifications –Laser System • Four major components: Galvo, DAC, Laser Pointer, Power Supply • Laser - create each pixel of the projection • Galvanometer - reflect the laser on x & y axis • Digital to Analog Converter - communication between the computer and galvo • Power Supply – The power supply will power the laser and galvanometer
Design Specifications – Software • Interface between computer and Kinect • Implement Kinect SDK Motion capture and gesture recognition • Primary coding language: C++ • Head avoidance and Canvas Calibration
Design Specifications – Software (cont’d) Kinect • Start/End Presentation • Change Slides • Backward , Forward, Split • Invoke menu • Context menus • Application menus
