Exodus 12:1-20 • The time of pass over , Moses, at the time of Exodus from Egypt to Canaan, promised land • Those inside the house with door post stained by the lamb’s blood= saved, (+),obeyed the command,salvation,(life) • Those outside the house =killed by the death angels , (--),no salvation ,(death)
Manner of eating:1. a belt on your waist 2.sandals on your feet 3. your staff in your hand • Eat it in haste • It is the Lord’s Pass over
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the house where you are. And when I see the blood I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt • So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the lord throughout your generations. Pass over (1) • Participation in the pass over • 1. Redemption through the pass over • “At midnight, the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt” exod 12:29 • But solution= blood on the doorpost and the lintel, the death angels pass over the house and no harm !!! • Salvation=redemption= Good news=Joy=(+)
Pass over (2) • 2.Freedom because of the Pass over • A total number = 600,000 men+children+mixed multitude+livestocks(flocks and herds) • Freedom from: 1.Egypt 2.Slavery 3.Death 4.Sin 5.house of bondage • Freedom=release=deliverance=salvation (+)
Pass over event ,exod 12:12 • God will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt .God will execute judgment:I am the LORD. • Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the house where you are.

Matt 25:6 (1) • Parable of the 10 (ten) virgins • The kingdom of heaven = 10 virgins • Actions: (1) took the lamps • (2) went to meet the bridegroom (woman, wedding) • Group 1 = 5 , lamps ,+ no oils =foolish • Group 2= 5,lamps+oils=wise
Matt 25:6 (2) • Bridegroom arrival delayed ( did not come as expected or anticipated or hoped)=unexpected surprise • All (100 %) = slumbered and slept • Sleepiness, drowsiness, sub- consciousness, heavily sedated state (I V conscious sedation),= mind does not work well, can not think clearly, less pain, forgetfulness , (amnesia)
Matt 25:6 (3) • the time of CRY= Midnight (12 o’clock) • Time of action: arrival of the bridegroom (expected, finally come true, become reality, dream being materialized) • Response: go out and meet him • problems :group 1,no oil (no preparation, no emergency need, no back up available)= in big trouble
Matt 25:6 (4) • Group 2: ,oil ,extra amount, emergency preparation, provision, thinking ahead, = not in big trouble, saved from the trouble. • the time of arrival of the bridegroom: • group 1= not ready, missed the chance • group 2=ready, did not miss the chance • The shut door: either you are in or out, • No neutral ground, no in between !!! • Awesome thought
Matt 25:6 (5) • midnight: Christ's coming, very important event • Shut door concept: • Door open=invitation, probation, one more chance, salvation, can get in !!! • Shut door=no invitation, probation closed or ended, no more chance, no salvation, can not get in !!!, done deal, finished business

Luke 11:5 (1) • Persistent friend • Time= midnight • circumstance: friend’s visit • No food, nothing on the table, nothing to set before the friend to eat • The door is shut,=[do not bother me, do not disturb !,I cannot help you ] • Only 2 choices= keep on going or quit
Luke 11:5 (2) • Persistence pays off ! • Because of persistence=perseverance, endurance, hanging on, keep trying, never quitting, • Thedoor is open, road is opened up, the obstacle is removed, the bread is provided. • The request is granted
