  3. Background June 2005 the Airworthiness Review Board (ARB) directed Icing Operations Standing Committee (IOSC) formation. IOSC purpose is to articulate gaps in the icing program, Anti-ice, operating procedures. Transport Canada to do an Audit of the Wings (gap analysis) 14 Wing was First = good timing!!!

Testing Procedure • When to use a Brix Refractometer . . . • No testing procedure post fluid mixture • Corrective measures: MAP, Written Procedures, UCR for mis-labelled products… Wg IOSC Greenwood Stood up • Recommend following procedures as outlined by Dow Chemical representative – Jacque… • C-82 (AFSO Bible)

  11. Product Delivery • Feb 08 SOA company (via PWGSC) was advised that ZX was charged for 73 barrels of concentrate, and received 73 barrels 60/40 mix (remember same stock number). To be replaced!! • SOA/PWGSC stated to be received NLT 30 May 08 • Actual receipt 30 Sep 2008 • Delta = 7 mths vs. normal max 2 week delivery

Summary • Short term plans are in place, 14 Wing IOSC recently stood up to outline the CFB Greenwood future icing strategy. • All wings should be very cognisant of your de- icing procedures, ensure they are consistent with the processes in the C-82. • Be advised, an auditor will soon be coming to see YOU!!
