Objective • To generate, maintain and update an assessed list of the highest quality local and overseas companies which are capable of supplying Services and Products required by ADWEA and it’s companies (ADDC, AADC, TRANSCO, AMPC) & ADSSC.
About ADWEA • ADWEA is a national organization wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government • ADWEA is responsible for implementing government policy regarding water and electricity sector in the Emirate, including privatization of the water and electricity sector. • ADWEA supplies electricity and potable water to a population of more than 1.5 million in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, over an area of 67340 sq. km.
Vision, Mission and Values • Vision: In view of operations and achievements, ADWEA and its subsidiaries anticipate possessing a leading position in the Gulf competing with pioneers involved in the water, electricity and sewerage sector worldwide. • Mission: ADWEA produces, transmits and distributes potable water, electricity and sewerage services reliably, securely, safely and cost-effectively throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

ADWEA is always aware of providing necessary training for all manpower in different fields. • Analytical Approach: ADWEA decisions are always resolved on the basis of logical analysis of data and information, utilizing statistics and questionnaires to attain solutions and improve the standard of customer services.
Registration • Local Companies should complete the registration in the ADWEA commercial directory through ADWEA website: www.adwea.ae.
Pre-qualification • Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants and Local Manufacturers: • Complete the Registration Process through e-registration website • Submit a request for prequalification (site survey) • Submit site survey documents required (experiences, QA/QC, Resources, Manpower & Financial information). • CRD prepare site survey monthly plan and setup a technical team from concern departments.
Pre-qualification • Contractors/Consultants • Technical Team conduct physical site survey. • The following factors reviewed and randomly review related documents: • Last five years experiences • QA/QC/HSE • Technical Resources (Equipments, machines etc..) • Manpower ( Organization chart, training, CVs etc..) • Financial Information.
Pre-qualification • For local manufacturer, Technical Team review more details related to the products • The assessment is managed through site survey Questionnaire. • Site survey team will fill the questionnaire, assessment sheet and recommendation. • CRD send approval letters to companies, and update ADWEA Commercial directory
Pre-qualification • Overseas Manufacturers • Overseas Manufactures should be defined in ADWEA Commercial Directory as principal through local trading agent. • The local agent should send a request through ADWEA e-registration asking for registering principal and link it to its profile in ADWEA commercial directory
Pre-qualification • Overseas Manufacturers • After successfully registering the principle, the local agent can ask for prequalification of product based on the following criteria: • The agreement should be “X” exclusive or “A” fully agency. • The products should be considered as a major product “can be pre-qualified”. • Notification e-mails will be issued to the supplier when the application status changed to (accepted), (rejected) or (incomplete) with the reason being given
Pre-qualification • Overseas Manufacturers • Technical Evaluation Team (TET) is formed ADWEA group of companies • CRD sends email to TET members to start review the submittal • Inspection Engineer manage the meeting and take TET comments. • CRD sends TET comments to local agent. • Local agent should reply within one month, fail to response ADWEA will consider that case is rejected.
Pre-qualification • Overseas Manufacturers • Arrange factory visit if recommended by TET, prepare factory visit report and fill factory visit questionnaire. • CRD passes the required documents to Supplier Evaluation Committee for final decision. • CRD sends approval letters to the local agent, and update ADWEA approved Vendor list.
Work/Product Groups • Work group • List of all services required by ADWEA and its subsidiaries (such as: consultancy, electrical and mechanical works, maintenance, IT, manpower, administration works, …etc) • Product group • List of all products required by ADWEA group of companies. • Product groups which require pre-qualification are indicated as “PR”
