OPS / FCL workshop, 21 October 2003 • OST / LST Co-ordination meeting • endorsed the concept for corporate and regional jet types STDs located only outside JAA Member States • A certificate of qualification in accordance with JAR-STD 1A may be issued on the basis of a BASA-SIP Arrangement between a JAA-NAA and the USA FAA. • Such a certificate should state clearly that it was issued on the basis of a BASA-SIP Arrangement and indicate the relevant differences. • Subsequently, any such certificate may be recognised by other JAA-NAAs • A certificate of qualification issued by a JAA NAA which enjoys JAR-STD 1A mutual recognition may be recognised by other JAA-NAAs.
