FAQs Q-What is the role of Day End in generation of flat file by New DET tool ? What is the Proper sequencing of Day End in Meghdoot for generation of flat file ? If day end does not take place properly then statistical data will not get updated. There is no requirement for following any sequence. DET should be executed after day end in all modules. Q-If my Office does Day End in one module, next day, will New DET generate the flat file for the previous day? Day End has to be done on the same day. If it has not happened, DET file will not get generated. Q-What is the correct sequencing of running various communication module for generation of flat files ? For DET flat file generation, running Meghdoot Accounts MIS Client will suffice. No need for any other communication module.
Q - My office is regularly sending data on Speednet and the same is reflected in SpeedNet MIS but in DET reports, the Speed Post dispatched is nil. What are the possible reasons for this variation? There are two possible reasons for this: • SpeedNet and Meghdoot are functioning on the same server and SpeedNet despatch data is fed in despatch module instead of SpeedNet application • Speednet and Meghdoot are functioning on different servers and they are not on LAN. Q- My treasury closes at 0830 PM but my night counter closes at 2300 hrs. How the flat file for this tool will be generated. • As the statistical data is updated at the time of day end, Accounts MIS client should be executed after 2300 hours in all such cases. Accounts MIS client application can be scheduled to execute automatically.
Q- When I try to send the DET file the system generates the following error” Accounts MIS error in registering channel. The channel http is already registered.” • By restarting the machine, and using the option “Transmit pending files”, the problem will get resolved . Q- When I send the DET file, the system generates the message “The data has been successfully Transferred to the central server. But when I check the accounts MIS server my office file is shown as Not Received. • There can be two reasons • Pin code and ND code configured at client are not matching with the central server values • Without actually generating the file, if “Transmit pending files” option is used then also it will show this message. • If the case is not falling in the above two possibilities, send the data folder of your office to PTC Mysore for resolving the issue. It has to be checked that no files are existing in Data folder.
Q- When I use DET, “Accounts MISCommn-sendData1A: Error in Transmitting file in files txd” message is appearing. • Check for a file with name trxcheck.log in the data folder/ Log folder and delete that file. Then use the option, “Transmit pending files” to transmit the files. Q- The system generates the ODBL error • This may be due to incorrect up gradation of an existing required table. By sending a mail to ptcdesk@gmail.com, this script can be obtained and on execution, from the date of execution, the problem will get solved. • It has to be noted that, an error which appeared on a previous day relating to Day end in any of the module cannot be resolved by applying a solution on the next day. Hence proper care has to be taken in doing day end of all modules on the same day. There is a practice in some of the offices to take shift report the next day (especially in Sanchay Post), this has to stopped.
Q- My office is using the despatch module but despatch figures are not reflected on New DET Sequencing of operations has to be done as follows: 1. SpeedNet despatch /delivery has to be finished first 2. Postman and despatch module day end has to be done next. 3. Point of Sale Day end has to be done last. Q- Signature scan data for Savings bank is not coming consistently on New DET • For Sanchay Post, old client interface package has to be deleted and must not be executed. Execution of that package makes the signature scanning data as NA. A detailed FAQ on this information is put up in SBLAN web page.
