Meadow Park PTA 1st Annual Direct Donation Drive Replaces Gift Wrap Sales – Simple (no work for parents!) fundraising method with proven success at South Lake Middle School and other IUSD elementary schools. 100% of donations go directly to Meadow Park Suggested Donations: $125 (1 student) $150 (2 students) $175 (3 students) $200 (4 students) Any amount is welcome and appreciated ▪ Many employers will match your donation. Tax deductible Donations help support: Art lessons and supplies, field trips, lunch time activities, teacher allotments, assemblies, school supplies, Mother/Daughter Tea, and Teacher Appreciation Week. 5. 3rd Homework • Binders home and returned daily • Mon.-Thurs. homework recorded in planner/due daily • 20-30 minutes each night should be dedicated to reading • Reading Log & Personal Spelling Word Quiz Sheet due Friday • Parents Initial “Reading” and “Math Facts” on yellow SURF log nightly • Keep all papers in binder • Do only assigned workbook pages

6. Physical Education and Health • 100 minutes per week • Please make sure that students are dressed for playground and P.E. activities daily.

9. Tips for a Successful Year • Start each day with a nutritious breakfast • Bring a “healthy” recess snack daily! • Monitor TV, video games, and computer activities • Provide a study area and a homework routine at home • Sleep ten or more hours each night (asleep by 8:00 pm) • Keep children home when ill

13. Minor and Major Behavior Reports Minor and Major Behavior Reports are issued to students who demonstrate problem behaviors as a way to reinforce the school-wide expected behaviors (R.O.P.E.S.)

Website School, program and staff events, updated regularly. • PTA Website Created and updated by our PTA board • Grade-level Websites  Used by K-3 for grade-level information. Mustang Express Weekly school-wide electronic newsletter. Provides tidbits on events and/or school news.  Meadow Park News Issued periodically throughout the year. Contains more detailed information about our school programs. Staff Email is: teacher first and last name + iusd.org. This is the preferred method of communication with staff.  Digital Citizenship will be discussed with students during their first visit(s) to the computer lab.
