  2. Serving Those who Serve our Country • Key request • Government must provide additional compensation for veterans and injured service personnel to enable independence and future employment

  3. Communities • OT to be provided in both specialist military settings and the NHS on discharge (from service) • OT to be used to allow service personnel to remain employed by the military • Equipment and prostheses maintained by NHS to same standard as Armed Forces’ medical services

  4. Local authorities to meet obligations to provide DFGs to adapt homes in a timely manner • Effective mental support and occupational therapy

  5. Military Covenant • Specialist medical services plus seamless transition of medical care and welfare support into civilian life, including liaison with housing and financial authorities • Specialist mental health support and increase awareness at all levels to mitigate development of PTSD and advise families to be alert to possible side effects

  6. Reservists entitled to same level of medical treatment and support plus a special Reserves’ mental health programme • Veterans to access community-based mental health services set up initially as pilot schemes • Accommodation – housing legislation amended to ensure that service personnel leaving the forces are on equal footing with civilians when applying for social housing
