Projects PepsiCo, Mountain Dew DEWMOCRACY “White Out” Campaign Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, Morgan Hill “No Bull” BBQ Cook-Off 1st Annual Event General Motors r I was the account manager on the Mountain Dew DEWmocracy campaign for one of their newest flavors “White Out”. My job was to come up with a public relations plan to get fans to vote for “White Out” as the new flavor. I made media kits which included a Press Release., Pitch Letter, Fact Sheet, and a Feature Story to pitch to the press. I was able to use social media free way to gain attention and press for their new soft drink. I was also the account manger for the Morgan Hill BBQ Cook-Off where my group and I planned all the Advertising and PR for this event. We created everything from the main logo, flier, vender forms, and a 15 second radio spot. I created a press release and pitch to various medias including radio, newspaper, television, online and magazines. General Motors was a nation-wide competition which my group and I had to come up with marketing plan targeting college students. I was on the public relations side of this competition, so I worked on using social media as a cost-free way to promote the GM&U brand to college students.
