On Wednesday, Dr. Viator from Duquesne University will be meeting with juniors who are in advanced levels of science. He will present information about Duquesne University’s Biomedical Engineering major. Students are to register in the Guidance office. The presentation will be all of period 2 and part of period 3.
Ms Teeters is now selling Prom and Cedar Point tickets in room 211. You must have all of your contract signatures before purchasing. We must have 25 Cedar Point tickets purchased this week in order to have the trip - if you are planning to go to Cedar Point, please see Ms Teeters ASAP.

Due to the long Oakland Catholic break from school the Oakland CatholicTrack Team only had 10 members left to run the 25 team South Fayette Track Invitational. They were small in numbers but large in desire. The team did not run in 5 events and still finished 3rd out of 25 teams. Senior Taylor McCorkle led the charge by finishing 1st in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and anchoring the 2nd place 400 meter relay. • Tremendous effort and congratulations to the ten members ocf the team. Taylor McCorkle was named the MVP of the invitational.
Crew News • The rowing team raced in Ohio this weekend at the Dillon lake invitational. The competition was made up of schools from our Midwest region along with some Pittsburgh schools. • The Oakland 1V finished 2nd after strong battle with Upper Arlington from Columbus. The 2V finished 4th with the difference between 4th and 1st being 3 seconds. • The Freshman 8 finished 3rd after a very strong race. The Novice 4 and Junior 4 did not make it out of the heats but both rowed very well. • The team will stay in Pittsburgh this weekend to Race Sunday at the Scholastic sprints on the Allegheny.

Attention Rising Seniors and Rising Juniors! LT Monica Chess from the USNA Office of Admissions will be visiting Oakland Catholic on Friday, May 2nd at Period 2. If you are interested in learning about life at the US Naval Academy, see Mrs. Just in the Guidance Office to obtain a pass. Your Period 2 teacher must sign your pass for admittance to this session.
