  2. Welcome to Hartnell College Library • The Hartnell Library supports classroom teaching and learning. Books, magazines, journals, newspapers, media and electronic resources are selected to enhance classes and programs that are offered at Hartnell.

  3. Hartnell College Library • The library’s web page acts as a gateway to important online resources. • You can access the library’s online catalog, search for current information in periodical and newspaper articles, and find recommended Internet sites from the library’s web page.

  4. Sources of Information for College Research • Books • Use the the online catalog to locate books • Books are a good starting point to gain an understanding and overview of your topic • Books provide in depth and historical information about subjects

Finding Current Information • Use periodicals and newspapers to find current information • EBSCOhost MasterFILE Premier provides access to over 1900 full-text periodicals • ProQuest National Newspapers provides full-text coverage to recent years of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Christian Science Monitor

  9. Using Electronic Resources Off-Campus • These resources are available to currently registered Hartnell students.
