  4. Sources of Information for College Research • Books • Use the the online catalog to locate books • Books are a good starting point to gain an understanding and overview of your topic • Books provide in depth and historical information about subjects

Finding Current Information • Use periodicals and newspapers to find current information • EBSCOhost MasterFILE Premier provides access to over 1900 full-text periodicals • ProQuest National Newspapers provides full-text coverage to recent years of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Christian Science Monitor

  9. Using Electronic Resources Off-Campus • These resources are available to currently registered Hartnell students.
