Indiapost 2012 & Rural ICT All Post offices including BO will be computerized & networked Core Banking Solution (CBS) will be implemented in all Post offices including BOs National Data Centre created for all postal activities. 4000 BOs of 6 states will be covered under pilot project, 45000 BOs will be covered in next phase Remaining BOs will be covered in next phase Use Pin Code

Impact of Rural ICT BOs will be supplied with hardware & peripherals All the BOs will be networked Solar backup facility will be provided for the computers CBS facility will be available for the accounts opened in BO also Track and Trace will be available for articles booked in BO also The system will automatically generate the barcode for articles booked in BO Use Pin Code

  4. Impact of Rural ICT No data entry for BO transactions at AO All BO transaction will automatically get updated in the National Data Centre More services can be made available at BOs The project will be implemented as per the prescribed time-line. Use Pin Code

Indiapost 2012 & Rural ICT Computerization and networking of all Post Offices would bring in the following benefits: Improve service level to the customers, increase productivity of the employees and inter-alia raise revenues of the Department. The Post Office will become the focal point of delivery of Social Security Schemes of the State. Enable electronic networking of about 1,30,000 rural Post Offices. Enable paperless transactions for mail, postal banking and insurance services. Enable tracking and tracing of accountable articles meant for delivery. Use Pin Code
