Quality Assurance in Korea - In 2007, the KCUE, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MEST), and other quality assurance-related organizations began working toward a revised system of accreditation in which relevant organizations apply for and receive approval from MEST to conduct institutional or programmatic accreditations.

Quality Assurance System in Korea • Disclosure of information on HE • 55 items under 13 categories: the graduate employment rate, student admission results, tuition level, scholarship provision, faculty research achievements, number of enrolled students and educational environment. • Input measures: PT ratio, unit expenditure, occupancy/enrollment rate, etc. - Process/outcome measures: persistence/graduation rate, employment rate, customer satisfaction, etc.

Quality Assurance System in Sangji University • Self evaluation • - The self-evaluation process lead Sangji university to monitor the education and research status in detail, and formulate strategies for institutional development and performance management according to evaluation outcomes. • This is apt to lead to a promotion of educational environment and quality, as well as provide students, parents and industries with a means of making better informed choices.

My Learning The participants have informed me a lot of higher education contents; in fact, those are so helpful for me to understand the international trends related to higher education. I’ve learned valuable lesson through these various lectures and discussions during two weeks participation.
My Plan I want to share this wonderful experience with my colleagues and my family. I’ll inform these higher education trends to my school president and I’ll help him to restructure our school system. I’ll teach my students with some proper lecture styles in order to adjust internationalized society.
