  2. Education System in Poland includes: - Kindergartens - PrimarySchools - SecondarySchools - High Schools - Universities - MusicSchools & Others

MainAssumptions • Education in Poland encompasses all the types of school. • In the idea of the Polish Constitution everybody has the right to learn. • Learning is obligatory from 7 to 18 years old but only primary and secondary schools have the compulsory status. • Education in public schools is free.

  4. Kindergarten

  5. Kindergarten (Przedszkole) • To the kindergarten children at age from 3 to 6 years old belong. • In this time zero-school is no longer obligatory for 6 years old children. • Zero-schools are organized in kindergartens, also the primary schools have right to set up the branch like this.

  6. PrimarySchool

  7. Primaryschool (szkoła podstawowa) • Six year-school is divided into two 3-year steps. The fisrt one is from class 1 to 3 where there is only one teacher and the education is integrated. • The second one is from class 4 to 6 where children have one teacher for one subject. • In the sixth class pupils must write the exam of knowledge and skills, but it does not count to pass the primary school.

  8. Secondaryschool (Grammarschool)

  9. GrammarSchool (Gimnazjum) • The reform of education system from 1999 introduced the Gimnazjum. • Students in Gimnazjum are the youth at age from 13 to 16. • Education on this level has a general type, there are more subjects like:- Science - Biology- Physics and Astronomy

Over-secondarySchools • Vocational School (Szkoła Zawodowa) • 3 year-High School (3 Letnie Liceum) • 3 year Profiled H S (3 Letnie Liceum Prof.) • 4 year Technical School (Technikum) • 2 year Complementary High School (2 Letnie Liceum Uzupełniające) • 3 year Complementary Technical School (3 Letnie Technikum Uzupełniające)

Universities • The university-level education uses a numeric system of grades from 2 to 5, with grades every 0.5, where 2 is a failing grade. • Universities are an integral part of the Education and Learn System. • There are many types, profiles and characters of the Higher Education Institutions.
