  3. Dallas Event (1) Fuel Up! Alternative Energies (exposure to the lighter side) • This engaging, hands-on program features nine stations, which will be staffed by Museum personnel and volunteers from your school. • Stations are designed with family learning in mind and are a dynamic way to explore alternative energy, understand the carbon cycle and discover parts of the plant cell using a digital microscope. • Participants will even have a chance to put their knowledge to use right away by making their own alternatively powered model car! • Plan to recruit 20 high school students and 2 teachers from Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School (IRYWLS); UTD worked with high school from IRYWLS for 2013 for the Young Women STEM Investigators (YWSI) Program Perot Museum (2) Related symposium on solar energy (Stefan) and biofuels (Balsara) at ACS venue (exposure to the heavier side)
