THE CLIMATEEL CLIMA Climate is the set of features that dominate weather in a particular area of the Earth: TEMPERATURE: thermometer PRECIPITATION: pluviometer WIND: anemometer and weathercock El clima es el conjunto de características meteorológicas que predominan en una zona concreta de la Tierra. TEMPERATURA: termómetro PRECIPITACIONES: pluviómetro VIENTO: anemómetro y veleta

3. THE ECOSISTEMEL ECOSISTEMA ECOSISTEM:ecosystem is a biological environment consisting of all the living organisms or biotic component, in a particular area. ECOSISTEMA:conjunto de seres vivos que tienen existencia en un lugar determinado y que guardan relaciones entre sí.

4. FACTORS OF CLIMATEFACTORES DEL CLIMA LATITUDE is the distance between any point on the Earth and the Equator. VICINITY TO THE SEA:in coastal places the weather is mild because of the sea humidity. ALTITUDE AND RELIEF:in high places whit mountains, temperatures tend to be lower and it rains more. LATITUD:corresponde a la distancia entre cualquier punto de la tierra y el Ecuador. DISTANCIA AL MAR:influye en el clima ya que en lugares próximos al mar las temperaturas son más suaves. ALTITUD Y RELIEVE:influye en el clima ya que en lugares altos y con montañas las temperaturas son más bajas y llueve más.

5. CLIMATIC AREAS ZONAS CLIMÁTICAS WARM ZONE: they have very high temperatures all year round. It deserts abound. TEMPERATE ZONE: temperatures are moderate rise slightly in summer and lower in winter. COLD AREAS: they have very low temperatures throughout the year and almost no vegetation. ZONA CALIDA: tienen temperaturas muy altas durante todo el año. En ella abundan los desiertos. ZONAS TEMPLADAS: las temperaturas son moderadas suben un poco en verano y bajan en invierno. ZONAS FRIAS: tienen temperaturas muy bajas durante todo el año y casi no existe vegetación.

7. WARM ZONE:JUNGLE AND TROPICAL FORESTZONA CÁLIDA:SELVA Y BOSQUE TROPICAL SELVA: it has high temperatures and abundant rainfall throughout the year that lies on both sides of Ecuador. In the jungle live a variety of plant species. TROPICAL FOREST: is north and south of Ecuador. Has two wet and two dry seasons. The vegetation is similar to the jungle. SELVA: tiene elevadas temperaturas y abundantes precipitaciones durante todo el año que se extiende a ambos lados del ecuador . En la selva viven gran variedad de especies vegetales EL BOSQUE TROPICAL: se encuentra al norte y al sur del Ecuador. Tiene dos estaciones húmedas y dos secas. La vegetación es parecida a la de la selva

8. WARM ZONE: THE SAVANNAHZONA CÁLIDA: LA SABANA SAVANNAH: is characterized by a wet season followed by another dry. It consists of high and thick grasses that dry when no precipitation. There are also scattered trees can withstand water shortages in the dry season. LA SABANA: se caracteriza por tener una gran estación húmeda seguida por otra seca. Está constituida por hierbas alta y espesas que se secan cuando no hay precipitaciones . Existen también árboles diseminados capaces de resistir la escasez de agua en la estación seca.

9. WARM ZONE:THE DESERTZONA CÁLIDA: EL DESIERTO THE DESERT: When the weather is even more dry, the natural environment desert. The characteristic is the living creatures that inhabit these areas have had to adapt to sudden changes in temperature between day and night and especially the absence of moisture. Some plants survive. Live reptiles and some species of birds and mammals. EL DESIERTO: Cuando el clima es aun mas seco, el medio natural característico es el desierto. Los seres vivos que habitan estas zonas han tenido adaptarse a los bruscos cambios de temperatura existentes entre el día y la noche y sobre todo la ausencia de humedad. Algunas plantas sobreviven. Habitan reptiles y algunas especies de aves y mamíferos.

10. TEMPERATE: MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATEZONA TEMPLADA:CLIMA MEDITERRÁNEO MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE:is the only country where are characterized by mild temperatures, due to ocean currents present. It is in winter we get see some precipitation rate, considering that in the summer rainfall is almost nil. The summers are hot and dry, due to the high barometric pressure centers. In coastal areas the summers are cooler due to the cold ocean currents. CLIMA MEDITERRANEO: es el único donde la estación fría está asociada a la estación de las lluvias. Los inviernos se caracterizan por temperaturas suaves, debido a las corrientes marítimas presentes. Es en invierno que conseguimos observar algún índice de precipitación, siendo que en los veranos la precipitación es casi nula. Los veranos son calientes y secos, debido a los centros barométricos de alta presión. En las áreas costeras los veranos son más frescos debido a las corrientes frías del océano.

12. TEMPERATE: ATLANTIC CLIMATEZONA TEMPLADA: CLIMA ATLANTICO ATLANTIC CLIMATE: mild temperatures and abundant rainfall throughout the year. The vegetation is abundant and lush. It consists of woods and meadows. CLIMA ATLANTICO:temperaturas suaves y las precipitaciones abundantes, durante todo el año. La vegetación es abundante y frondosa. Está formada por bosques y prados.

TEMPERATE: CONTINENTAL CLIMATEZONA TEMPLADA:CLIMA CONTINENTAL CONTINENTAL CLIMATE: temperature differences between winter and summer are huge, so the same with the day and night, summers are hot and winters are very cold and little rain. There are plenty of living. CLIMA CONTINENTAL:las diferencias de temperaturas entre invierno y verano son enormes, así mismo con el día y la noche, los veranos son calientes y los inviernos muy fríos y tienen lluvias escasas. Hay bastantes seres vivos.

TEMPERATE:MOUNTAINOUS CLIMATEZONA TEMPLADA:CLIMA DE MONTAÑA MOUNTAINOUS CLIMATE: It is characterized by long, cold winters with subzero temperatures and cool summers and abundant rainfall in form of water in summer and snow in winter and possibility in autumn and spring. CLIMA DE MONTAÑA:Se caracteriza por unos inviernos fríos y largos con temperaturas negativas, y veranos frescos y cortos.Las precipitaciones son muy abundantes en forma de agua en primavera y verano y de nieve en invierno; y con posibilidad en otoño y primavera.

17. MOUNTAINOUS CLIMATE CLIMOGRAMACLIMOGRAMA DEL CLIMA DE MONTAÑA

18. COLD ZONE: THE TUNDRAZONA FRIA: LA TUNDRA THE TUNDRA:The average annual rainfall is low, about 250 mm and the maximum temperature exceeds 10 º C. It has little rains. Mammalian animals predominate. LA TUNDRA:El promedio de precipitaciones anuales es bajo, alrededor de 250 mm, y la temperatura máxima no supera los 10 º C. Tiene escasas lluvias. Predominan los animales mamíferos.

19. COLD ZONE: THE TAIGAZONA FRIA: LA TAIGA THE TAIGA: The average temperature is 19 º C in summer and -30 º C in winter, the average annual rainfall reaches 450 mm. There are animals that resist cold and hibernate. LA TAIGA: La temperatura media es de 19º C en verano, y -30ºC en invierno; el promedio anual de precipitaciones alcanza a 450 mm. Hay animales que resisten el frío e hibernan.
