JAPAN ADVANCEMENT • The Japanese never had e-commerce and they never had the Internet. The whole idea of sitting in front of a screen and typing up requests as we’ve done with the Internet never functioned in Japan. People did not have PCs. Then they switched right over to the cell-phone technology. They jumped ahead in technology. • The factor that has held us back is that our population is not very educated about how to use the device for communication other than voice
CONCLUSION • M-Commerce technology is so advanced not only has it changed the way we do business but it is changing the way government agencies do business with the public as well as other agencies. Especially after 9/11 when all line of communication was interrupted. Government are setting up new frequency standards to stay in touch with emergency services. • As an government employee we have taken actions to use technology to improve the way we communicate with emergency services and other government agencies with the use of setting up access point throughout the city to provide access to the city’s infrastructure. Even the use of inkless fingerprint that is transmitted through the internet which allow the police department to have information on the inmate within minutes. The federal government has setup new frequency standards for emergency services. The use of mobile technology is increasing due to the increase in demand on quick information.
