  4. Shakespeare’s Style of Writing Shakespeare wrote in a way which was made up of lines of non-rhyming Iambic Pentameter.

  5. Shakespeare’s Writing Structure Although Shakespeare wrote using very complex sentence structures and difficult language, his words are considered to be written in Modern English.

  7. Tragedy In Shakespeare's tragedies, there is always a noble hero who enjoys little social status but is usually defeated by his own flaws and weaknesses. Back To Menu Slide

  8. Comedy Shakespeare’s comedies are always full of fun, ironic puns, or a play on words. They are often times confusing, inlcluding mistaken identities and plots that are hard to follow. Back To Menu Slide

  9. History Shakespeare’s comedy plays contained both tragedy and comedy in their plots. Most of these plays contained some sort of historical element from history. Back To Menu Slide

  10. Hamlet Hamlet is known as one of Shakespeare's greatest Tragedy plays. It is about a king who is murdered by his own brother. Prince hamlet, the son of the king who was killed, see’s his father as a ghost and is asked to kill Claudius, his father’s brother. Back To Menu Slide

  11. All’s Well That Ends Well All’s Well That Ends Well is a comedy about an orphaned daughter who falls in love with Count Bertram. He rejects her love, but the King of France forces him to marry her because she heals the ulcerous from his face. Back To Menu Slide

  12. Julius Caesar • Julius Caesar can be seen as one of Shakespeare's best historical plays. It is a play that shows how Caesar did anything he could to rise to power, but then started to abuse his powers. Back To Menu Slide

  13. Macbeth Macbeth is also seen as one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies. The play is about the murder of a king by his subjects. Macbeth is blamed for the death, but Lady Macbeth accuses him of being unmanly because he hesitated in killing Duncan. Back To Menu Slide

  14. As You Like It “As You Like It” is a comedy about a lady named Rosaline who is banished by the Duke and is ordered to go to the Forest of Arden, where she goes disguised as a man. Back To Menu Slide

  15. Henry V Henry V is a historical play which shows how Henry V starts out his career being king. Most of the plot takes place in the Battle of Agincourt. Back To Menu Slide

  17. Romeo And Juliet Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet is seen as his greatest romantic play. Romeo Montague crashes the Capulets party where he falls in love with Juliet Capulet. The two families are both very rich and have had a past of many feuds with one another. Back To Menu Slide
