SCE Smart Grid Use Cases Southern California Edison developed extensive use cases We feel these should be brought to 4g’s attention These use cases and their requirements can be useful to 4g in developing the baseline and standard www.sce.com/usecases
Scope Some of the use cases apply directly to AMI, some are broader Smart Grid Cover all, as the broader context has implications for AMI
Different Classes of Response Fast - roundtrip within mSec over large dist. Automated Medium - (re)actions in 30 sec timeframes Operator involved, machine assisted Confidence/Corroboration of data needed Slow - actions within hours to days
