  4. Secretary of Program Resources promotes READING PROGRAM and reports to District SPR READING PROGRAM CATALOG The 2013 Reading Program Catalog is available for download

  5. The purpose of the Reading Program is to encourage United Methodist Women to: • Expand understanding of and participation in God’s ministries • Increase sensitivity to all human beings – their needs, interests, and concerns • Encourage critical thinking about issues facing humanity today  • Grow in understanding of scripture as it relates to Christian faith in contemporary life • Enhance self-knowledge and act from that knowledge • Strengthen involvement in local and global Christian mission

  8. The 2013 Reading Program starts September 1, 2012 and ends on August 31, 2013. Local UMW SPR sends checked brochure forms to the District SPR by September 5. Readers will have their names listed in the Conference Annual Celebration Program. Three readers will be eligible to win a new 2013 Reading Program book!
