  1. GROUP SIX - PODCAST Filippo Cicogna, Carlotta Urban, Asia Grando 3ALS

  2. NUMBER OF GROUP • We are the group number six called Podcast.

  3. TASK TO BE CARRY OUT • Our task was to produce a podcast, taking as a starting point the radio transmission in air to three o’clock, on radio 3 on the frequency 99.8.

  4. OBJECTIVE OF OUR WORKSHOP • Collect, store, and reflect on the information about the history of the Anglo-Saxons, the topics about the affirmation of the old English in Britain, and on one of the most important artifacts of the English literature.

  5. PROBLEM TO ANALYZE OR DISCUSS • From the moment that we have devised the radio program, the discussion was born on the title (Brain), since it is not needed to give specific information about the topic of the podcast but leave the contents to imagination of the listener.

  6. ORGANIZATION • We knew that a radio program has the task of informing the listener. Therefore the arguments must be clear and thorough, but at the same time must not bore the audience. We have outlined three characters: the conductor, the linguist who talked about the birth and development of old English and the historian that gave factual information about the history of the people.

  7. RESOURCES • In addition to take a cue from radio program on the air at three on radio 3, we have sought information about the old English, the history of the Anglo-Saxons and the epic poem “Beowulf” on the net. We have also benefited from the cards send us by the teacher and used the text book of English “Culture and literature”.

  8. CONCLUSIONS • After having studied the history of the Anglo-Saxons , the old English and the history of one of the most important epic poem of the literature, we have understood that the culture of a people is closely linked with its language and vice versa. In addition, we have been able to understand what causes are the basis for development of a people and its language.

  9. POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS • We could have been more clear in exposing our information and as far as I am concerned spell better the words at the time of registration. Grando Asia 3ALS
