Daily Dose: You can put it on the same paper as yesterday’s daily dose. Just separate with a line. Still write the date for today’s. • You own a lumber company. A carpenter needs a specific length of wood in inches. He asks for “fifty three thousand, twenty four and sixteen thousandths” inches. Write this as the number. (Careful!) • Add: 114.3 + 5.9 • Subtract: 5.8 – 1.003 • Multiply: 459 x 21

Rules for x with decimals: • As usual, put the number with more digits on top. • Multiply like normal, and ignore the decimal points. • Count the total number of decimal places from the problem.
