  2. Questions Main question: What is the difference between involvement traditional celebrations into education (in elementary school) in Slovenia and in the Netherlands?

Sub questions: • What are the differences between the season related crafts and food that are being made in Slovenia and in the Netherlands? • What are the differences between the activities during the celebrations in Slovenia and in the Netherlands? • Why it is important to involve these celebrations in education?

  4. Gathering information Excursion in the Netherlands: We went to the Rudolf Steiner school "De Zeventster" in Uden.

  5. Excursion in Slovenia: We went to the elementary school Šmartno pod Šmarno goro.

  6. What did we do? We compared three celebrations: Christmas, Easter and Saint Nicholas. We were figuring out the similarities and differences between both countries.

  7. Christmas • Very similar • One main difference

  8. eAster • Same art crafts • Different way of celebrating

  9. St. Nicholas • Different names for the same celebration • Different story • Same expectation

  10. Conclusion We discovered: • in general the children in Slovenia know the stories behind the celebrations better than the children in the Netherlands.
